Presentation: On tap, served in a 20 oz. American tumbler glass.
Appearance: Tawny brownish orange with a slight haze, thin lace that left trails of rings.
Smell: Even blend of toasted and caramel with a slight twang of hops and alcohol in the nose.
Taste: Incredibly smooth mouth feel with a moderate carbonation, big malt character with sweetness upfront and a little bit chewy on the medium body. Hop bitterness is right on target and hits the same time as the light sweet tangy alcohol gets to the tongue. Trace of fruitiness within the caramel / toasted malt profile, a drying effect hits the mouth middle to finish leaving a minimal residual sweetness.
Notes: A bit lighter bodied and a smaller beer in comparison to a true Scotch Ale, none the less it is an extremely drinkable ale almost reminiscent to a Strong Scottish Bitter.
