I had this beer on-tap in a clear plastic cup at the brewery in Glasgow.
Appearance: dark brown hue with a finger of frothy tan foam atop.
Smell: malty with a mix of sweetness and roast. There’s a little oxidation here too, but the overall effect is not bad.
Taste: a bit sweeter than the aroma with a combination of roast, caramel, and bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: an alright stout — no complaints — but it doesn’t really stand out in the crowd.

This had the nice smooth texture of a stout but the flavour reminded me more of a dark lager. However, the smell was of roasted coffee with some dark chocolate hints. The flavour matched the smell and was very powerful yet enjoyable. Very light carbonation with a dark tanned head that did not linger but laced nicely.
