A = Vibrant active head. Two fingers and white. It dissipates quickly and nothing is left.

S = Pungent but not apparent if that makes sense. it is a very subtle smell but its ok when it is there.

T = Initially sweet and malty but the German hops are all over this guy. The hops are the main player in this game but the malts make a valiant effort to keep it balanced.

M = Full but finishes dry but just not quiet there

D = Drink drink drink away

I recently visited this brewery and was told by the brewmaster that they will no longer be making this beer. Instead they will be somewhat combining this recipe with their lighter Skyscraper Pilsner recipe and continue bottling it under the name Skyscraper. So my review, for posterity.

Poured into a pint glass. Shows an attractive orangish gold color with a 1/2 inch head, with a small amount of sediment swirling around. Excellent head retention leaving persistent lacing. Subtle smells of citrus and spice, some pineapple. The taste show a prominent but balanced hop character with a little spiciness, lemon, and an unripe banana taste that come out more as it warms up. Lightish-medium body that leaves a little mouth-drying effect (kind of like after eating an unripe banana), and a hoppy aftertaste that fades into a somewhat unpleasant bitterness. Refreshing, and complex for how light it is.

I hope the new skyscraper keeps a lot of this character.

12oz bottle pours with suspended sediment that battles the gold color, with very few bubbles, but somehow has a small head.

Fruity and sort of soapy nose, tangy orange-type citrus, under-ripe banana, and some sugar.

Needs more crispness and punch, it's too malty and yeasty. Not undrinkable, but close.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a bubbly, though somewhat sparse, white head.

Smell: Faintly sweetish pils malt nose with some mild floral hop notes.

Taste: Light pale malts, slightly grainy, and with a light sweetness. Tiny hint of lemon. Floral hop character with a mild bitterness. Finishes dry with a small bit of lingering hop bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: A fine pilsener to combat the Missouri heat (provided Missouri even gets much heat). Though, if you're in a bind as to reach for this or the Skyscraper, I'll lend my recommendation to the latter.

From a brown 12oz bottle - Pours a clear straw color with a small quickly dissipating mostly white head. Smells only of sweet German malts and noble hops. First sip is clean and refreshing like a good Pils should be. This beer would make Eastern Europe proud! Another fine showing from Tin Mill!

Appearance- This Pils has a little more of a brass color than their other Pils (Skyscraper) It has excellent white head, lace and carbonation to the body.

Smell- The aroma also is a little more floral and crisp.

Taste- It has a great crisp flavor. There is a wonderful balance of hops and malt. The aftertaste is grassy and earth like too.

Mouthfeel- Light and well carbonated.

Drinkability- Excellent.

Filtered and shows crystal clear with white head. Refreshin light grainy Weyerman light pilsner malts combined with Nobel hops (Hallertauer etc)

Brewers show their sill on this one. Light body, color and crisp clean finish typical of the style. Good choice for those getting away from American macro brews.
