Bottle: Poured a light brown color weizen with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing notes. Aroma of banana bread with light cloves notes is quiet refreshing. Taste is also dominated by banana bread notes with some light cloves with light spices notes also noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. A little bit short on character but still very enjoyable.

A:
Pours a copper-honey color which is far less cloudy than I expected. Has a beautiful, tiny-bubbled, fluffy off-white head that gradually settles down but is very present. Great retention; good lacing.
S:
Smells like a weiss should. Loads of yeast, cloves, mellow sweet aromas (bananas, vanilla).
T:
Quite uneventful. Really well-balanced and "whole" flavor. Notes of caramel, cereals and yeast. There is a tiny twinge of hops in the finish but it is barely detectable.
M:
Exactly as it should be (albeit a touch thin). Balanced, creamy, mellow. Very active carbonation is a nice counterpoint to the unoffensiveness of the rest of it.
O:
Pretty solid brew. I am a huge fan of German Weissbier and so I was both excited and scared to try this one.
Overall, it is a good, tasty easy-drinker. It looks beautiful (but it does not look like any dünkel I have ever seen). Who knows, though. The label says "Dünkel" but also says it is a red wheat.
Everything else is quite enjoyable in it. It is unobtrusive which (as far as I am concerned is all you can ask for from a wheat). The main flaw I find is that it could be a lot heartier. I usually see drinking beers like this as drinking a loaf of bread.
Would have it again. Would be a great beer for someone who doesn't necessarily like beer.

My first from this brewery. Pours out a pale ale color - lightly amber blonde with a great big frothy head.
Aromas of floral hops, cloves, and some spicy yeast smells too.
Taste is quite dry, no sweetness. Very different from the nose. Lots of citrus up front with a sour and minimally bitter finish. There are some light fruity flavors in there as well - apples and raspberries. Not overtly complex, but still rather enjoyable.
Great medium body with lots of carbonation, making every sip nice and frothy.
This one grew on me quite a bit as I drank it, very refreshing and tasty. At first I was a bit put off with how light colored it was, dunkelweissen means dark wheat beer in German, and the others I've had of this style have be much darker and had stronger roasted attributes. That being said, I still liked it quite a lot, just very different then expected.

Smell: Brown bread, pureed bananas with hints of citrus and a good yeast base.
Taste: Strong spices at first which gradually subside except for cloves in the finish. Mix of ripe bananas and some citrus with a strong cereal presence.
Mouthfeel: High carbonation which is a tad too strong but the body gives a nice lasting finish.
Overall: A good interpretation of a German wheat ale. Carbonation could have been dialed back a bit but otherwise quite solid.
