Quite black with ample amounts of creamy tan heading.
Roased aroma. Creamed black coffee. Yeasty funk and milky sweetness provide counterpoint.
Mildly roasted up front, fading to baker's chocolate, then to a oaty sweetness. Never really goes beyond a typical oatmeal stout pattern. Milky hues enter later. Solid in terms of what is expected from an oatmeal stout, but quite lacking in depth and therefore unfufilling.
A big, fluffy body masks strange thinness. This one seems like it has a sock shoved in its shorts. Thick, but lightly flavored.
A bit empty, but alright.

Presentation: 12 oz brown bottle, on the side is a blurb about the beer and how it is not filtered or pasturized. No freshness date to be found.
Appearance: Ink black with a ultra creamy tight tan lace.
Smell: Dark roasted coffee and charcoal with a hint of sweetness from the oats.
Taste: Heavenly smooth mouth feel with a soft moderate carbonation to hold it up. Well blended bitterness from the hops and roasted barley ... touch of an acidic bite with a residual sweetness to keep things even. Slight fresh iced espresso character with a little sweetness and grain in the finish.
Notes: A bit robust yet still very drinkable. One of the better Oatmeal Stouts in the states.
