Typical, yeasty-haze clouds the darkish-honey hue; moderate-size white head, solid retention, some lace. Yep, the nose says hefeweizen and not wheat beer
good banana notes, yeasty, mild toasty wheat, and minor citrus hints. Disappointing palate though, the malt seems too pronounced, lacks the palpable banana, citrus, and clove influence. The taste isnt complex enough to truly be authentic, in other words; the taste certainly says wheat beer, which isnt a bad thing. Perfect carbonation lends itself well for ideal mouthfeel and pleasant consumption. Good finish, slightly dry yet tacky and appetizing. This beer would serve its purpose on a warm summer day. Good enough to drink again, not good enough to seek out.

Aroma has stong qualities of phenol, also strong on banana. Big full fluffy head, pale gold, somewhat cloudy with nice lacing. Little light overall on the taste. Dryness too noticable and weakest aspect, but nothing wrong with taste beyond not enough. Nice soft mouthfeel and well balanced carbonation. Very nice, well rounded and satisfying beer.

Decent Bavarian Style Hefeweizen ... maybe the use of American malts for this style makes for just a decent Bavarian Style Hefeweizen. None the less a very drinkable wheat beer, quite enjoyable on a hot summers day.
