Cloudy, yellow-orange color with a small 1/2 inch head when poured. Head fades fast, though some lace remained on the surface of the beer and sides of the glass the entire time I was drinking the beer. Sour, slightly fruity smell with a slight funk. Sour, slightly fruity taste with a tart, dry finish on your tongue. Medium body with plenty of little carbonation; tingly finish on your tongue. Overall a very unique beer; I enjoyed it and found it good to very good. Not something I would drink regularly, but different and would be good once in a while.

500 ml bottle, batch #693, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%. Orange-pinkish colour, slightly hazy, moderate to low white head. Distinct aroma of redcurrants, some spicy notes too. The flavour is fairly dry, with a moderate but still distinct fruity acidity from the redcurrants. While they were at it, the brewers could have added some more redcurrants, but this is a fairly refreshing beer as it is.

Murky. Burnt caramely smell. Taste is more fruity (not surprisingly). Interesting sour berry notes, but they are counteracted by the carameliness. Wish it was drier.

Look - Pours a murky red-orange with a champagne like head that quickly dissipates to nothing. No clinging. 3 paws.
Smell - Smells of blood orange and the faintest bit of hops. Bits of honeysuckle are also present. Not sure what red currants smell like, but I imagine they are present as well. 3.25 paws.
Taste - Slightly astringent. Sweet pale malt with orange citrus flavors. Alcohol is fairly present. There is a wine-like grape flavor which I'm guessing is the currants. 2.25 paws.
Feel - Very tingly, light-medium viscosity. The tingling is almost a stinging over the entire tongue. 3 paws.
Overall - The bitter astringency is too off-putting to really enjoy any other aspects of this beer. I've never really been a fan of beers that are brewed with grape must, and the red currants are a bit too close to that. If it were cleaner it would have been more enjoyable. 3 paws.
