Pour is black with a fizzy deep khaki cap of foam that doesn't last long, and fades to a little ring around the glass
Nose is a hint of smoke, bourbon, ash, coffee, chocolate
Taste is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, layered over subtle, but definitely there smoked malt. Bourbon interplays nicely, doesn't dominate, and isn't in your face. But again, definitely there, while taking enough of a backseat to let the malt character show.

Great beer. love smoked beer. love stouts. love barrel aged beer. all three in one? home run.

Pours a black brew with only a light layer of head and little carbonation. Aroma is dark fruit, vanilla, roasted malt and bourbon. Taste is amazingly balanced between the dark fruit, bourbon and smoke. All the flavors work well together, none too overwhelming. This delicious and a delight.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12.3%. Pitch black colour, small tan head. Aroma of smoke, roast malts, oak and whiskey. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Rich and strong flavour, medium sweet, notes of roast malts, coffee, smoke, liquorice, oak and bourbon whiskey.
