Last year our friends from Speciation Artisan Ales came over to collaborate on a petit Saison inspired beer. We decided to referment this beer upon local plums, hand selected by our brewers at our local fruit orchard, Fruktgaarden in Svelvik. This is a Brett and funk forward beer, both in aroma and taste plums quietly lingering in the background. This is out third beer in our Farmhouse Friends series.

375 ml green bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.5%. Very pale straw colour, pours sparkling with a small and shortlived white head. Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, sour plums and lemons. Fairly sour flavour, brettanomyces, plums and lemons again. Astringent finish. Quite nice.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
