February 2019: 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sauda. ABV is 6.5%. Matured in oak vats that previously contained St. Hallvard herbal liqueur. Brewed with cocoa nibs and wild cherries. Black colour, small beige head. Aroma of sour cherries, chocolate and herbal liqueur. Sour cherries dominate the flavour, also marzipan, roast malts and cocoa notes. Herbal liqueur in the background. The different flavour elements do not blend well together, appears unbalanced. Won't buy again.
