1984 is a baltic porter brewed with The Garden Brewery. The name is a tribute to a great literary work and is obviously in no way a comment on how hard it is for Norwegian breweries to communicate online.

From a twelve ounce aluminum can, this beer has a black complexion with a tall and frothy brown head. The aroma has a smokey, woody character, backed with roasted coffee and roasted malts. The taste is chocolaty, balanced, and warming. Full in body. Okay, but not exceptional.
