Imperial pint on cask as a guest ale at the local community centre.
A: cloudy, dark yellow/amber ale with a 1/2-finger head, which is slightly more than average for a cask ale.
S&T: the visuals, smell and taste are all slightly unusual--very different from anything I've had. Richly malty and also quite fruity and even tangy, and yet with earthy undertones. Wasn't quite sure what to make of it.
M: a mild carbonated bite sits on top of the smooth cask ale feel.
D: ABV is just slightly higher than average for an English cask ale, but that's no big deal. The real issue in drinkability is how often (or how much) you could or would want to drink of something this unusual. I definitely wouldn't turn it down though, I just can't quite decide if I like it or not.
