Copenhagen 10/2 2021. 33 cl can from Meny, Rotunden Hellerup. Jet black can with silver letters.
Pours opaque dark brown with a tight off-white head. Stable. Settles as 1 cm thick blanket of foam covering the surface of the beer. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, roasted odor mingling with light citric notes. Dark toasted malts, caramel, toffee. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by slightly stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet roasted undertone. Finish is bitter and fairly dry.
Quite nice Black IPA. Pleasantly balanced between the sweet and roasted and the citric bitterness.

Half pour (cask) at Purecraft. Dark black with skin of beige head. Sharp roasty aroma, tickles the nostrils. Taste is sharp and bright, biting bitterness, nice roasty notes underneath. Really well done

5 litre minicask from brewery, contains yeast. Pours more brown than black. Aroma and taste: fruity dark malt. Lingering finish. Overall: a pleasant porter. The hopping is restrained compared to the malt. Perhaps should be described as a Porter.

Very dark brown, almost black.
Rich aroma of dried fruit, roasted malt and chocolate.
Taste like it smelt plus hops and burnt wood chips. Long bitterness.
Nicely carbonated.
A refreshing brew.
