This is an excellent spicy wheat ale, and a fine offering from Le Saint-Bock. Ruby pour with a small white head that has little retention. Stunning aroma of caramel, cinnamon, cloves and brown sugar. Spice abounds in the flavour, but there is enough of a grainy spine to balance this off. Caramel and cocoa hints are also mixed in. Medium body and carbonation seems about par for the course. I was tempted to order another.

Had this during a weekend pubcrawl in Montreal.

A: Poured a reddish slightly cloudy amber with a bit of head that quickly turned to fizz.

S: Delicious! Smells like apple pie spiked up on cloves and other spices. Really amazing, just like grandma's kitchen.

T: Nothing like the apple pie smell. All you get is spices, ginger, coriander and something else other than clove. Felt like a big let-down from the smell.

M: Way too much carbonation for my taste. To an annoying point, it felt like I was having a coke. My guess is that it contributed in hiding this brews true taste.

D: It was almost hard to finish due to the carbonation issue. Not something I would go for again. Lacked in the taste department.
