notes from a visit in april to see philippe. pour is proper like spotty lace slightly off white. Completely clear. Mahogany. Nose of plum and toasted malt. Palate is bosc pear first and foremost. Toasty but not caramel. A tad burnt malt. Drys the tongue but does not have any of the scotch hints at all. Some processed grape esters that separate.
