A beautiful Grumpy's brew, and testament to why a Hahndorf adventure is so worth while.
The pour reveals a delightful dark malty brown body with sticky one-finger head that has somewhat acceptable retention.
The aroma is quite plain, but shines with caramel malts.
The taste is as one-track as the aroma, but its delicious and so very more-ish. Sweet, sweet malt. Caramel, hops, and a beautiful dry finish that rounds out the mouthful so very well.
Appropriately carbonated, with a mouthfeel that truly suits the texture of the beer.
Definately one to try if it's available at the time of your visit.
