Pours hazed amber with a thin tan head that eventually disappears.
The smell is of brown sugar and roasted grains that give it a smoky character.
The taste is of smoky sweet malt. Caramel and brown sugar are backed by earthiness and a slightly floral support. Sweet, almost candy-like, finish.
It has a firm medium body. Smooth. Roasted graininess hangs on.
A decent, sessionable, amber ale. Don't know if the smokiness was done on purpose, but it does add some character to it.
