- Served from hand pump.
A: Black in the vessel, gets a shade or two lighter around the edges to a dark caramel brown. Standard buff, wheaty head of one inch, decent retention. Thick stratified ring lacing down the glass.
S: Chocolate, lightly dry creamer, lightly bitter, no real depth perception, kinda thin.
T: Flavor was dry and milky, lightly bitter bakers chocolate, light earthy bitterness with some fresh green hop notes. Again the malt profile is a bit light, perhaps from the hand pump, Chalky, dry creamer, lightens up a bit to a roasty chocoalte flair.
M: Mouthful was light to medium, milky.
O: Overall this was ok, the malt profile seems a bit light, the dark chocolate malts could of been ramped up a bit, some decent support of dry milky creamer and some hops, but lacks the depth where i could safely recommend this. An average (C) rating best describes this.
