Bottle 750ml. Color dark brown with medium lasting white head. Aroma malt, roasted, chocolate. Taste sweet, malt, chocolate, roasted, ends dry and with a light bitterness. Quite long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Ok beer.

 

My wife picked this beer up at the local beer store. From a 750 ml bottle it pours a dense, absolute black, with a chocolate-milk head. The smell is interesting and very engaging. Smoke. Lots of smoke in the nose. It has grain, heavily roasted malt, and a lot of smoke aroma. There's also a distant pepper character that continues into the flavor. The beer is semi-dry, with a notable roasted maltiness. Full mouthfeel with a lot of heft. Very satisfying. This is a robust porter, in every sense of the words.
