The beer comes in a dark copper color.
The aroma is dominated by big green hops, pine, herbal, along with sweet caramel and toffee with vanilla.
The flavor follows with aggressive bitterness throughout. The malt body is of toasty bready sweetness and toffee. Vanilla hints from the middle through the finish as it picks up more. The bitter is of wood, oak chips, earthiness, deep dark pine, herbal, and bitter tea.
The beer has a medium to full mouthfeel.
A really wonderful beer that picks up the base beer, which I have had very recently. The vanilla blunts the bitterness nicely and does not overpower.
