Saw this at a neighborhood beer store that I usually do not go to. poured a nice copper amber with a big fluffly head that left alot of lacing. aroma grassy, pine, malt, and some sourness, citrus. flavor the first thing that comes out is the caramel and honey, citrus nice dryness and bitterness would have liked to have this fresh. I think I will get a couple more bottle of this

Copper with orange highlights.
The nose piney, lemony, floral, citric, caramelly and very fresh. Lovely aromas.
Great hop flavor but very little bitterness. Pacific Northwest Hops. Very grassy with leaves, citrus notes, pine sap, light fruitiness and caramel.
I cannot say enough good things about Great Divide. It's too bad they stopped making this beer. It was replaced by a DIPA called Hercules which I have yet to try.
This is a very well rounded Pale Ale but it seems a little odd for Great Divide to brew two Pale Ales especially in a series that is supposed to be for the beer drinkers with a refined palate. This isn't a big beer at all, just a plain n' simple medium bodied, lightly hopped (for the style) american pale ale.

Golden-bronze hue, clear, minimal animation, the slightly off-white head reached a modest finger in height. The head was very sticky and it lasted for a little while, the retention could be better. The subsequent lacing was sporadic and webby. The aromas are, umm
yummy! The nose is very inviting, big hoppiness, pine trees, citrus flesh, grapefruit rinds, and a kiss of floral too. The aromas from the malt were small and hardly noticeable aside from a suggestion of caramel. Im sold! Its drinking time. The palate is very tasty, it tastes like a Pale Ale and not an IPA, I was expecting the opposite. The hoppiness doesnt rock the tongue with bitterness but a good array of flavor, a bit of pine, a dab of juicy-fleshy citrus, some flowery notes, a hint of sweetness, a good mixture of ale fruitiness, and a trace of clean caramel with a toasty undercurrent. The finish is amazingly juicy! Then it gets dry and leafy, the aftertaste is appetizing and very long. This is a tasty beverage and a wonderful APA! The low alcohol is a fantastic surprise, session material. Medium/medium-full in body, firm but natural carbonation, the mouthfeel is very pleasant. This would be a great warm weather quaff. I could drink this everyday, all day, of course Great Divide is not found it Omaha so Ill savor my bomber that I purchased in Loveland. Recommended.

Appearance - A glorious semi-clear copper ale with a beige head decorated my glass.
Aroma - Great fresh hop aroma, almost strawlike in the nose. This was a great smelling beer.
Taste - A very hoppy pale ale, almost IPA like. Hoppy from beginning to end with a good malt balance.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied and smooth in the mouth with a crisp dry finish.
Drinkability - Very drinkable. I would like to make this beer apart of the regular rotation.

Dark copper in color with a solid off-white head.
Strong, fresh hop aroma starts off as piney, citrusy hops, but seemed to turn grassy as the beer warmed. Caramel malt shows well in the aroma as well.
Taste shows a solid hop cone blast of favor. Tough to pinpoint as the hops seem piney, floral, citrusy and grassy. Solid toasty, biscuity toffee malt backbone keep the hops from totally owning the beer. Lingers a bit on the palate at the finish.
Silky mouthfeel with good body.
Good drinkability.
55 IBU's and brewed with fresh, whole cone hops. A tastey pale ale joins the Maverick Series mix.
