This is an exceptional barrel aged beer. It is nice to have a break from the typical barleywine or stout aged in barrels, and likewise it is nice to see something different form bourbon barrels. Interestingly, the combination of dark lager and Irish whiskey was a match made in heaven when crafted by these Colorado beer masters! This truly is smooth, at the level of a strong milk stout but with a totally different flavor profile. Very awesome work Great Divide!

Good Lord this clean, black elixir is just that. The Smoothness exudes.. smoothness! The fluffy tanned head, the subtle sweet whiskey notes, the lightly roasted character, the dark abyss in which to get transfixed to. This beer has it all from start to finish. The best thing about this beer is how the Jameson adds character but does not steal the show from the lively base dark lager. Get this if you can. Cheers!
