Smell was pretty promising. Plenty of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla notes. I guess the base is more of a brown ale because you get a lot more bitterness And vegetal sourness. Very mild if any sweetness any and any sort of cinnamon you feel faint on the pallet in the finish. Probably not one of the worst pumpkin ales I've ever had but definitely one I would not drink again. They need to reevaluate the recipe. Make it taste more like a pumpkin pie. Pass.

This was given to me, along with a bunch of other beers, when visiting a friends place in Littleton, Colorado last Halloween. Not the biggest fan of this style and it's a beer like this that reinforces why. No, there wasn't anything wrong with it and this was plenty enjoyable but it was too spicy for me and the pumpkin flavor was quite overt from the get-go.

The pour was brown with some dark, pumpkin around the edges as a bit of light was let in through them. Lots of bubbly, mocha foam to top this off as that took a while to settle, although there wasn't much of any lacing left behind. A ton of pumpkin, cinnamon, and spice in the muted nose. A bit of vanilla, rind, gourd, brown sugar, and faint chocolate came in on the palate but those were not enough to overcome the main flavor here. Full-bodied, lightly carbonated, and cloying enough, this almost needed a chaser of milk or water to fully get it down.

Thankfully, the alcohol was nearly a non-factor here as I never tasted or felt it, as I could used a bit of warming today! Canned on 8/1 of last year, this had enough sediment in it that was hardly visible because of the beer's hue. This was fine to have once during the season but I'd rather reach for an Octoberfest if given the choice!

Great aroma, smooth spicy flavor, a little light but good taste; more spice than pumpkin flavor but very good. Drinking a draft at the Denver RiNo tap house. Definitely would buy this again.

Handsome dark orangey brown with plenty of foam in the Chimay chalice. Interesting aroma of spice and roasted grain. Lively on the tongue with a malty body. Slightly sweet to start but tends toward a drier finish. Dark malt flavors with a bitter aftertaste. Fortunately the spice has been used with restraint, and overall it is a flavored beer with no recognizable flavor profile to start. I would not say it taste like pumpkin but the spice is a giveaway. It's fairly drinkable but for once a little more touch of sugar and less of the murky hops would be welcome. From the 12 oz can purchased on the West Coast. Dated 9/19/23.

Look: Dark brown on the pour and my sloppy one brings on a huge, billowing tan head that forms a pillow and holds before settling and leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Roasted pumpkin flesh, warm brown bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and wafts of clove
Taste: Kicks off with nice roasted pumpkin and quickly followed by sweet brown sugar and bready malt notes. Spices enter in and out of frame throughout and closes with cinnamon, brown sugar, and pumpkin
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, soft, and with a smooth finish
Overall: I dig it. Another good pumpkin beer from a brewery I have loved and respected for years and is tasty to boot. Chalk this one up with those in the style that don’t just taste like pumpkin pie – which is good, but this one drinks slightly sweet so keep that in mind if/when you try it

From a can into a mug. Pour had dense and receding head of light brown foam with a dark, brown with a tinge of red body. Scent has a notes of malts, pumpkin, and spice. Taste matches with the spice making itself a bit more known and notes of alcohol esters also evident. Feel is smooth, almost creamy, giving it a heavier mouthfeel. Aftertaste is more bitter than sweet. Overall an enjoyable pumpkin ale that focuses less on sweet and more on spice.

12 oz can from the Wall of Beer in Clemson SC ($2.09). Early(?) canning date of August 2022 is stamped on the bottom of the can.

Appearance. Clear reddish-brown body that comes topped with a respectable off-white head.

It has a very promising and appealing aroma but the flavor is disappointing. It lacks balance and has too much spicing (for my taste at least).

Dark brown body, not much of a head. Smell is very spicy— allspice, nutmeg, and some caramel notes. Taste is upfront allspice and nutmeg and molasses, some hints of raisin and plum, then a nice nutty roasty finish and a bit of cinnamon. Feel is crisp. As noted, not much pumpkin, but a nice spicy fall beer nonetheless.

Dark brown in color with minimal light penetration. There’s a half inch of densely packed and tightly knit brown foam on top. Heavy lacing. The aroma is of nutmeg and cinnamon. I’m tasting nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin. The mouth is light and easygoing.

A thanks to the incredible woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very dark brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of cinnamon, nutmeg. Taste is of malts, nutmeg, cinnamon, light hints of pumpkin. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.
