Look: It pours dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is low.

Smell: It has strong cinnamon aromas with roast and vanilla. There are some wood elements and a bit of cola.

Taste: It is sweet with cinnamon and sugar. There are also roast flavor with a bit of cola. There are some wood elements with vanilla.

Feel: It has a medium full body.

Overall, it is sweet from beginning to end which was a bit surprising, but not bad. The traditional Yeti flavors are muted for the most part.

This one really surprised me. I like horchata, but it seemed like an odd choice of flavor for an imperial stout. This beer is amazing.

Look - deep brown with a small tan head that quickly recedes. Minimal lacing shortly after pour that completely leaves by 1/5 way through.

Smell - it smells like some sort of wintery treat. Nice spices, mainly cinnamon, followed by faint notes of vanilla. Vanilla can really be overdone in stouts, but this one does it right.

Taste - normal sweet imperial stout but with that amazing cinnamon, vanilla, and other pleasant spices that mimics the nose. Pairs perfectly with my Banana Taffy Freeze Foger vape.

Feel - medium carbonation and thick. Just the way I like it.

Overall - what a treat.

Pours an effervescent ebony with a pinky of mocha colored head. Traces of head retention & average lacing, plenty viscous

S: Tons of cinnamon, a little vanilla

T: Plenty of cinnamon, vanilla, honey & faint coffee notes, a little dryness up front. More cinnamon & vanilla sweetness, a little coffee roastyness once warm. Finishes a little dry with copious cinnamon & vanilla cream & just a little coffee

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation

Delivers on the promised flavor, my problem is I can't stand that much cinnamon in a beer, not enough other flavors to counter it> I will bury these other three & hope the cinnamon fades over time. That or blend this with some super coffee forward brew. I actually like Horchata with some tacos. Hard to believe this is this hefty ABV wise

 

Purchased at Pennridge Beverage, Perkasie, PA. 4pk/12oz cans.

Pours a dark, totally opaque black color. A small dark beige colored head on the initial pour.

Aromas of cinnamon and sweet malts.

A delicious version of the standard Yeti. The base Yeti is enhanced with flavors of sweet malts, vanilla, cinnamon, burnt sugars and caramel. The ABV is well hidden.

Medium to heavier consistency with mild carbonation.

I really enjoyed this brew. Leans towards a sweet, sipping style dessert beer. The flavors all blend together to make an outstanding brew.

Opaque very dark brown, almost black with a modest dense tan head that settles down quickly to just a ring but does manage some decent lacing.
The aroma is dark roasted malt, cinnamon and a hint of vanilla and lactose. The taste is sweet roasted malt, cinnamon and vanilla with hints of lactose, brown sugar and wood.
The body is full, moderate carbonation, creamy smooth, well hidden ABV and dangerously drinkable.
Altogether, this is a tasty and enjoyable brew, a bit sweet but so smooth and tasty otherwise. This should be best as an after dinner dessert sipper, very well done.

 

Horchata Yeti from Great Divide. Four-pack of 12 fl oz cans. Reviewed 13/06/25 (Review 3539). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Stamped on can bottom “CANNED ON 04/21/25.” Purchased 07/06/25 from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. $ 13.50 (including tax)/ $ 0.281 per fl oz. On room temperature shelf at distributor, stored at 37 degrees F at home. Served at 56.3 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature is 61.3 degrees F.
Appearance – 4
First pour – Brown (SRM 20), barely transparent.
Body – Brown (SRM 20), opaque. Under direct light, same, but with precipitate visible through the glass. When rear-lite, same and opaque.
Head – Average (Maximum 1.1 cm, aggressive center pour). Tan, high density, average retention, dropping to a 0.15 – 0.25 cm crown and a thin, complete cap.
Lacing – Excellent! Band of near-microscopic bubbles attached to the crown. As the level drops, the lacing coats the glass. The top edge slowly separates into a band connected by many short, thin, columns. Eventually, the lacing degenerates into shredded curtains.
Aroma – 4.25 – Roasted malt and cinnamon. No vanilla. No yeast, no alcohol, no hops.
Flavor – 4.5 – Begins slightly sweet with cinnamon. Background roasted malt. No hops, no vanilla. No alcohol (9.5 % ABV, according to the label). No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Faint gastric warming.
Palate – 4 – Full: creamy: soft carbonation.
Style: Follows the loose style guidelines as condensed by BA.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited label artist. Excellent iteration of Yeti, possibly the best, IMHO. Aroma encourages drinking; flavor is good. Palate perfectly enhances the sensory experiences. Price point is very fair for the quality.

 

12 oz can from the Wall of Beer in Clemson, SC ($2.79).

Yet another Yeti variant. I haven't come across any Yeti losers yet. This latest version is another winner but not among my favorite Yetis. The full, creamy, and smooth mouthfeel is exceptionally fine, but I found the aroma to be overly spiced. Oddly, the flavor did not follow the aroma in this regard and instead provided a nice mix and levelof spicing.

 

 

I"ll start by saying I Have yet to find a YETI I didn't like.
If you're looking for a brew with a head, this ain't it. What head there was disappeared in the blink of an eye. Or should I say as quick as a YETI (LOL).
Notes of cinnamon and vanilla all over the place. Very sweet. More like a desert beverage. Zero on the bitterness scale.
Extremely easy to drink and a full pint at 9.5% ABV better use caution. Could use a little more carbonation.
Overall: Yes! Another Yeti I like.

T: cloyingly sweet with notes of brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, lactose, cola, white rice, roast in the background but this is insanely sweet
F: full body, ample carbonation, sweet from start to finish - blah!
O: not a fan of this Yeti. I’m disappointed that I bought it, especially when it’s a huge 19.2oz can. I maybe got through half of it and it was too much. A 12oz can I would have finished.

 

 

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to patches with slight lacing; a bit fizzy. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cinnamon, Mexican chocolate and vanilla. Flavor follows with dark, lightly toasted malt, vanilla, Mexican chocolate and cinnamon. Lingering cinnamon and vanilla finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. It's always fun to see another iteration of the yeti variants. The base Yeti was one of my early introductions to big stouts and it's a treat to see something new every year. This one does a good job of conjuring horchata, with solid vanilla and cinnamon, but in order to lighten the background dark malt for the this to work, the toastiness of the Yeti malt is lost. There is also a chocolate note here that would not be in traditional horchata, but there are chocolate versions and this is a good match. There is a good level of vanilla and cinnamon, both well balanced. Although I miss the deeper malt of the classic Yeti, I think they made a good compromise to make the horchata connection. It tastes great is one of the more unusual variants. My only disappointment is the giant can. A 19+oz. can is just too big for a stout this size. I'd get another, but it's too much for a single serving.

On draft at Shakespeare's Pizza. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with. a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, chocolate and roasted malt. It tasted of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, roasted malt and chocolate.

Appearance: Black opaque glass, first pour held a dark tan head, second pour was flat.

Aroma: Mexican spices, cinnamon, all spice, chocolate. Lots of malt, no hop notes.

Taste: Big boy, heavy malt sweetness, spices are big but second in line which is impressive, roasted barley, yeti like flavors.

Mouthfeel: Heavy, firm chew, flat carbonation, clean finish.

Overall: Spice bomb, but in a good way? Hard to get that right. Maybe not my favorite Yeti, but a nice south of the border cousin who is welcome to the party.

Pours a fizzy bubbly 1/2 finger tan head with lower retention, a bit of lacing, very dark basically black color

Nose cinnamon bark, general spice, like spice tree kinda thing, some vanilla behind that, sweet vanilla, a bit of dark chocolate cocoa, some roast, toasted biscuity graham cracker like,

Taste starts fairly sweet, fair spice tree again with a cola flavor somewhere between birch beer and coke, fruity cinnamon and rich cinnamon bark, strong cinnamon flavor without being overpowering or destructive somehow, some sweet vanilla under that, a bit of vanilla ice cream, some cocoa and dark chocolate, a bit of roast, light warming alcohol with phenol spices, starts to become a super spiced winter warmer like flavor, a bit of bitterness, mild sticky sweet finish, more spice tree

Mouth is fuller bod, fairly creamy rich, med foamy carb, light warming alcohol

Overall mixed, it started nice with that fruity juicy cinnamon that was strong but not overpowering, but then towards the end and the more I sipped it just became a spice tree and borderline undrinkable, def need to tone that cinnamon down, and base stout was hard to get under that even for Yeti
