Sometimes what is old is new again, and even Yeti is not immune to the trend of reboots. Espresso Yeti was one of the first Yeti variants before it was discontinued in pursuit of flavor innovation back in 2017. But after being a special, very limited offering during Yeti Awareness in 2022, we decided to re-release it to a slightly wider audience. Espresso Yeti features rich coffee flavors and a creamy mouthfeel.

Pours an effervescent & chill-hazed chestnut/mahogany with 2+ fingers of mocha colored head. Stays effervescent throughout the pour. Average-ish head retention & sheets of lacing

S: Coffee, roastyness, vanilla once warmed up

T: Follows the nose, some caramel & woodyness up front. Sweet vanilla cream balances out the in-your-face coffee as this beer warms up, a little dryness & woody hop as well. Finishes a little dry with woody notes & coffee & vanilla cream sweetness

MF: Medium/chewy body with low carbonation that becomes creamy as the beer warms up

Flavorful Brute of a beer that drinks pretty easy all things considered

Picked up March 2025 and this was canned January 2024, so take this with that in mind.
The pour is stout black with a tall (5 cm!) head that took its time receding. Sparse lacing is left behind as I drank it.
The taste is full of malty goodness with a dose of coffee, a hit of hops and some chocolate. Much tastier than I expected.
The feel is lightly viscous, appropriate for the style and yet not so viscous that it slows down my sipping.
OA, not a fan of regular Yeti, too hoppy for my taste. But this is really good.

19.2oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of espresso, chocolate, vanilla and oak. Sweet chocolate and toffee taste with coffee and vanilla.

poured from a 19.2oz stovetop can into a CW snifter. pours a medium brownish hue but gathers in the glass a darker brown with almost two fingers of dark khaki colored head. coffee (almost peppery coffee), light roasted malts and even lighter chocolate. as it warms i also get some caramel on the nose and in the taste. the peppery coffee comes off as fresh ground espresso in the taste backed by light chocolate and caramel. medium-full mouthfeel with a creamy finish. good stuff. a straightforward coffee stout that is almost easy drinking at 9.5%.

This one is from an oversized aluminum can (568 ml). The beer itself is an inky black color with a tan head. The aroma has intense coffee and chocolate roasted notes. It’s just what I was hoping for. The taste is bitter, both with roasted coffee bean qualities and with firm hop notes. Full in body. The alcohol comes on after a few sips. Wow. This one is an excellent sipper.

12 oz can from a mixed Yeti 12 pack enjoyed at the Albino Skunk Farm. The can has a 22 September canning date stamped on the bottom.

Appearance. This pours with a clear, dark brown body but looks nearly black and opaque in my Tervis.

Despite having had Yeti quite a few times in the past, I'm surprised at the complexity of the aroma and flavor. As expected, this has substantial notes of both dark chocolate and coffee.

Feel. Smooth, slightly slick, full body with medium-light carbonation.

Overall. Even better than regular Yeti?

Picked this up as part of a mixed 12 pack from the Fresh Market in Hendersonville 11-9-22 for $25. No canning date; consumed 3-31-23.

Beer poured black with a very nice tan head with the original pour.

Nose is very nice, espresso forward malt base is so enjoyable!

Taste is a large malt base enhanced awesomely by the espresso adjunct. Hopping is to the usual Yeti standards with along with the espresso makes this such a lovely sipping experience.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and so creamy and smooth.

Overall this is an awesome Yeti variant. Wish this was made year round!

12oz canned 9-19-22, opened 1-28-23.
2 finger mocha head with really good retention and a early sheet of lacing left behind as it slowly recedes. Black Imperial Stout body. Plenty of sticky lacing. Rich espresso coffee nose with some dark fruit in the shadows and big, roasty dark malt aromas. Coffee, roasted malts, bitter chocolate, flash of dark fruit...fantastic. Full body with a smooth mouthfeel...long and roasty finish with very little heat. Outstanding.

Part of a mixed 12 pack of Yeti's. Purchased at Trader Joe's in Colorado Springs. No indication of oaked aged listed on the label.
Nice freshly ground coffee aroma. Hard to pick up much else, but this is nice. Nice dark head, like all the Yeti's, with heavy lacing. Pours very black with brown in the highlights.
Coffee dominates the flavor but the stout characteristics show too. Some alcohol, a little dark fruit. A little sweetness up front. A smooth bitterness that moves to a soft dryness. Good full feel and smooth carbonation.
Like all the Yeti's, a real good performer. Consistent and reliable.
