(review from January 2025 on tap) Tasty, well balanced imperial stout with good mouthfeel; a soft, creamy, chocolate/mocha/roasty/javaish flavor and a slightly sweetish, lingering aftertaste. Very dangerously quaffable & if'n this is 9.5% then I'm 9.5 feet tall!

Aroma is coffee, dark malts and a big hint of chocolate ice cream. The flavor is dark/roasted malts, a hint of vanilla, coffee and a slightly acidic/mild/medium sweet chocolate ice cream finish.

Picked up a single 12 oz can from the Appalachian Vintner in Asheville 6-20-25 for $4.40. Canned 2-27-25; consumed 9-8-25. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured black with a nice brown head.
Nose has notes of roasted malts and floral hops.
Taste is really well done as the medium roasted malt base combines nicely with the roasted coffee with the slight touch of vanilla is barely perceptible and definitely in the background.
Mouthfeel is medium to heavy bodied with each sip very full and satisfying.
Overall have to say this is a coffee leaning Yeti variant with the vanilla touch nice and light.

Look: It pours very dark brown with a tan head. It has low head retention.
Smell: It has roast and coffee aromas with vanilla. There are also low amounts of dark fruits with very low nutes.
Taste: It has strong roast and coffee flavors with some chocolate. It has vanilla flavors with plum notes.
Feel: It has a full body with moderate bitterness in the finish with a touch of sweetness.
Overall: The flavors work well together with the sweetness adding a bit of depth to the beer.

Canned 1/16/25, Drank 3/18/25
Pour is not as black as yeti typically is. Nor is the head as dark - noticeably so. Still great retention and lacing.
Nose is coffee and vanilla as you'd expect
Taste follows. Coffee, vanilla, much less roasty than yeti typically is. Chocolate, latte.
Smooth, creamy, full bodied.
Overall a very enjoyable beer but definitely not "yeti + coffee and vanilla." Which is what I was hoping it would be. Clearly the roasted malts have been dialed back. Still very enjoyable. but.... you know.

12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, white head of pillowy foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of vanilla, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Sweet chocolate, toffee, caramel and vanilla with mild coffee notes.

12oz canned on 9-16-24, opened 2-2-25.
1 finger tan head with very good retention and leaves a sheet of lacing as it recedes.
Black body with no light perceived.
First aroma impression is black coffee. Cream/vanilla and roasted malt upon further inspection. Nice.
Flavor follows the aroma except for a distinct fruity / cherry flavor in the finish.
Medium plus body with a silky smooth mouthfeel. Some warmth in a mid-length finish.
Very Good.

Pretty surprised that I added this beer, would have expected a rating on this one already. I have had a lot of different Yeti's over the years, but had to pick this one up due to "the Dude". Bought in SD at Bottlecraft in North Park. $2.99 for 12 oz can. Canned 6/19/24, consumed 11/14/24.
A&S: half finger of fizzy chocolate head that dies quickly to a ring, then into nothingness. Aroma contains coffee and dark chocolate. Only slight hints of sweetness, which I think actually a great complement to the taste.
T&M: Taste reminds me a lot of Vietnamese coffee. Dark chocolate up front, vanilla mid-taste, then back to dark chocolate and rich coffee. Low to medium bitterness. The mouthfeel is excellent. smooth and thick, but still contains a kick of carbonation.
Overall: The price point is great, the beer is above average but nothing mindblowing. I think I prefer the original.
