According to Skookum, this Quad has been aged part in Quilceda Creek wine barrels and part in whiskey barrels. You can taste both the wine and the whiskey barrels, but I'd say the whiskey barrel effect is pretty subdued, and the wine barrel influence is a little more prominent.
As quads go, this is on the light side, both in body and in taste. It's dry, not sweet. There's a bit of fruit, but it's not fruity. Overall, it's a really delightful mix of flavors, and a real treat.
