12oz snifter at Tri-Cities Tap & Cork, in Richland, Washington, for $7.50. My first Skookum beer. Apparently the owners of the above establishment drive over to Arlington to get kegs from the brewery.
Opaque, juicy looking. Looks like a snifter of orange juice, except for the inch or so of off-white foam at the top. Lots of lace.
Very citrusy in the nose. Mostly orange juice-like aroma, but with a little bit of sharp, grapefruity hop bitterness in the background. Softly dry finish.
Medium bodied, with a rather soft, unobtrusive mouthfeel.
I suspect this isn't sporting a huge number of IBUs. Very drinkable, not hugely characterful. Incidentally, untapped calls this an English IPA. I think someone got confused between that style and the hazy, NE style. This will make fans of the latter very happy. I enjoyed it but needed something more aggressive to follow it.
