The beer pours the expected murky golden amber with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, predictably, this beer smells terrific. Yes, there's plenty of tropical fruit, but there's an underlying light onion and skunky hop aroma that blends in beautifully with the juicy tropical fruit. Flavor profile replicates the nose, and I'm impressed that the beer isn't overly sweet and/or fruity. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, though unfortunately there's not much bitterness on the finish, which drops off pretty quickly (a frequent failing in many hazy IPA's).
Pretty strong effort from the folks at Skookum. Not that I'm surprised.
