Served in bubble pint glass. Poured a medium honey gold color with about an inch of off-white head that had good retention and light lacing.

The aroma was pretty typical for the style, a fairly even blend of malt and hops. I didn't pick up any wood in the scent. On the tongue the wood is clearly noticeable, but doesn't overpower the basic beer taste as often happens. The beers flavors were a nicely balanced blend of malt and hops that really played well together.

The body was fairly typical for the style, smooth, even and well-rounded. Drinkability was very good, I could easily drink these all afternoon while watching a game or at a party. Overall, a pretty nice take on one of the styles that I judge a brewery on. If they can make smooth, easy drinking and tasty pale, their other offerings are usually pretty good. That is certainly the case here. Swing by the brewery and grab a growler and find out for yourself.

Poured a light yellow-amber with a finger of bright white head. Gentle aroma with some light caramel, oak, and grapefruit.

Moderate carbonation and a somewhat light, creamy mouthfeel. Oaky up front with mild toffee and a touch of grapefruit and pine on the finish.

For the low ABV, this brew packed a lot of flavor. Nicely balanced with a real distinct oak presence.

Warm amber, mostly clear, with a light smattering of suds. The smell is hard to locate and the taste bears a remarkable similarity to tea with lemon and honey. This is a simple ale of casual appreciation, but don't be put off by its intrinsic modesty. Woody's is a clean and quaffable ale ideal for a summer's afternoon on the front porch.
