Poured a hazy brownish amber with a small finger of light khaki head. Some pine and grapefruit mixed with toffee in the aroma.
Moderate carbonation and a full mouthfeel. Toffee and a hint of raisin up front followed by a strong citrus hop presence and a slight boozy warmth on the finish.
Nice hop-to-malt balance here; drinks very easy for its size.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clear, medium-deep brown, with just a thin trace of off-white head that was mostly a thin ring around the edge of the glass. There was no retention and very light lacing.
I found the aroma to surprisingly benign, so subdued I wasn't sure I was smelling anything. I did pick up just a bit of malt foundation and a trace of hops. The flavors were better developed, a bit sweet, some malt and grain, a hint of leather and a bit of a tobacco finish. The beer also had something of an alcohol tang to it.
The body was decent, just a bit lighter than full, smooth, even and balanced, although I found it to be on the thin side for the style. Drinkability was good, smooth and easy to drink.
Overall, this was a decent beer. I was hoping for a little more from it, but it was still OK. Worth trying if you see it.
Edit 2/13/11: This has been on tap at a couple local bars lately and I've been drinking it regularly and I'm bumping up my scores. The beer was a bit underwhelming on first try, but has seemingly become fuller and more well rounded. I don't know if it's a different batch or if I'm tasting it different, but it's now a should try bordering on a must try.

No real description on this beer so I went with Amerrican Strong Ale due to ABV and amount of malts, hops in this brew
A: Poured a murky brownish red color with good carbonation and a nioce dirty white head
S: Sweet, hop biterness
T: Plenty of malts, caramel, chocolate, English and some hop bitterness. Not sure where this beer was going but it seemed to blost in a booze filled, sticky mess
M: Medium bodied, sticky, booze
D: Average
