Medium thick non-rocky white head. Orange/caramel color. Candied spice and malt aroma. Subtle woody & malt flavor with a pilsner type hop bite & finish. Medium bodied.

Deep amber color, semi-translucent, light tan head. Heavy caramalt aromas, which I expected, but a slight vegetal note I did not expect.
Fortunately, that does not follow through to the taste, which is caramel and toffee notes accompanied by a slight hop punch that is really nice. This would be a great fall beer to enjoy in quantity at a tailgate.

Appearance is certainly hot, with the dark amber red brew topped with plenty of off-white foam in the Timmermans goblet. Quite carbonated with a sudsy mouthfeel, another sexy feature. Then there is the odd and not pleasant smell of damp garage and dry corn cobs. Flavors of roasted malt, and a touch of old fruit.
This is the classic American Amber, and I don't mean that as a compliment. Even a plasticky note. Slight bitterish, dishwater finish. But I give points to Slookum for having a label with an easy to decipher date: PKGD 03/14/16. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

Poured a nutty amber with a small finger of off-white head. Malt-dominated aroma with caramel and a touch of pine.
Moderate carbonation and an extremely light mouthfeel. Brown sugar and biscuit up front with a mild hop presence on the finish.
Light and easy-drinking, although I didn't find the flavor profile as complex or full as the other Skookum offerings.

Best beer name ever. The name is so good I've given a couple extra half-points, just because. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a solid amber color with just a thin cap of off-white head that had low retention and medium lacing.
The aroma was smooth and malty, with a trace of hops in the background, a fair bit better than typical for the style. On the tongue the solid malts are clearly the dominant feature, but there is a definite hop presence. The beer is very well balanced with a tangy finish.
The body was solid, smooth and easy to drink. A very good example in this regard. Drinkability is very good, the beer is balanced and smooth. Overall, a very good example of the style. I could easily drink several while watching a game. Worth trying when you see it.

Clear red amber with a tan fluffy head with good retention and uneven lacing. Floral hop and caramel malt and something I couldn't quite put my finger on before it went away. Flavors match the aroma in a very nice balance with a clean finish. Fairly robust body with sharp carbonation.
This is a good, very drinkable amber. The carbonation was a little high for my tastes but it was made up for in taste and body.
