Basically an unfiltered Dunkel with good Depth and a hoppy backbone.

From the flip top half liter bottle, it pours a hazy light brown color with a modest off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets a zing of yeast, followed by a slightly sweet malty scent, followed by the mouth getting the same.

Pours a saturated amber to orange in color with an inviting, bubbly and stable big head.

Aromas are of tangerine peel, peach pith and field flowers, together with a note of wheat and buttery biscuit.

Drinks soft, refreshing and balanced with a well nuanced effervescence, illustrating the beer’s light body very well.

Tastes of resin, dried, bitter wormwood, lime zest and white bread dough, all entangled into floral, herbal honey. Turns unforseen sweet then, leading with toffee bonbon and a whiff of Creme brûlée, while a lingering, slightly fruity dryness maintains. Finishes with spicy, caramel covered hops, a wooden bitterness and bright, smooth straw.

This is quite an unusual Keller, with a modern, fitting approach, as far as the aromas go, together with a more traditional, well working and complex flavor profile.
