To be perfectly honest, Im not entirely sure what beer style this Tamarack belongs to. Alpine already brews a Marzen and an Oktoberfest (theres a difference?) and Tamarack is not too dissimilar. My best guess is that this is a Munich dunkel lager, a relatively obscure style in the Pacific Northwest that I cant acknowledge much familiarity with.
Still, I can attest that its a fine drinking beer. Tamarack is dark bronze, clear, and has a gentle toasted malt platform with just enough hop balance. My pint tasted just slightly oxidized but I was lucky to find the beer at all in the fair town of Tonasket. Smell was elusive, head was sandy.
Nice Bavarian styling. Try it if you get the chance.

Dark brown in color with traces of amber. Nice wheat flavor with some solid chocolate undertones and a slight burnt character. Slight bitterness to the finish. Good mouthfeel. Overall, pretty complex beer and quite drinkable.
