Pint served by handpump into Timothy Taylor ping glass at the Cloister Pub in Edinburgh
A- Jet black body, with no light making it through to the other side. Rich tan head that reduces to 1 finger slowly, with good lacing.
S- Bitter chocolates and roasted malted barley.
T- Roasted/bitter notes all the way through to the end. Lots of dark cocoa, roasted malt with a hint of a blue cheese tangy note in there too.
M- Low/medium carbonation with solid mouthfeel
D- Certainly a pleasant porter with all the essential qualities desired from the style. Aesthetics are good with a solid tasty character. Sessionable!
