Cask at The Harp, London. Very dark reddish brown colour, low beige head. Moderate aroma, notes of lightly roasted malts, hints of mild coffee, some vinous notes. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of moderately roasted malts and mild coffee, not very sweet.

On cask at Belfast Beer Festival, 2016.
Ruby-black with tan froth. 4
Sulfur, light plum, and dark chocolate - dim. 3.75
Black malt acid, soy, prune, ash, and a bit of lead. 3.75
Crisp, just past light, dry. 4
Lean but finishes tight. Some fruit in the finish but Damson juice seem to ferment right out, making this super dry. A bit too Protestant. 3.75

Tasted this beer by half-pint at a Wetherspoon pub, the Cross Keys, in City area in London.
Appearance: dark reddish-brown hue, with a off-white rimmed beer head. The colour is really nice but I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of lace and head.
Smell: delicate aroma of preserved plum comes to mind...also approaching are dark chocolatey and light smoky nose. A while later some nutty malty aroma steals the stage.
Taste: dark-chocolate's slightly acidic maltiness is quite considerable on palate, which is balanced with damson plum's bitter yet tart fruity flavour, as provided by the dash of damson juice said to be used in this porter... left at the back is medium-intense liqurice-like and roasted malt's nutty, bitter taste.
Mouthfeel: overall the beer presents a refreshing taste against a round mouthfeel and reasonably lingering malty, bitter finish. A balanced, tasty porter, though the depth is not as profound as I like it to be. Nevertheless, it's a thirst-quenching as well as distinctive porter in its own right.
