Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a murky red color with a small
white semi-foamy head sliding off fairly quick. Some intricate lace weaves around my glass.
The aroma had some soft sweet roasted nuts and caramel/toffee malts. Some herbal character ties it up closer to the end.
The flavor moderately leaned towards the sweet side with a clean malty aftertaste some herbal to nutty character.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and ABV. Finishes with some herbal to malty tones.
Overall, pretty good red/amber ale I'd come back to.

A little murky in appearance as well as flavor. It starts out like a Marzen and then edges into a bitter taste. Plenty spritzy on the tongue with a decent froth in the Pilsner glass. Light body. The flavor is herbal tea with a little watery malt.
Quite drinkable amber brew with a bitter yeasty tang. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Hallam's Wine in La Conner, Wash.
