On tap sitting here at Mukilteo Brewpub.
Smoky coal, modest white rimming. Nose predominantly bitter dark fruits. Rather watery, disappointing. Dry chocolate and modest floral hops are nice but why so watery? Bitters and watery residuals on the tongue.

Had this beer on nitro tap at the Diamond Knot alehouse in Mukilteo.
Appearance: totally black with a very nice creamy tan head. Quite enticing!
Smell: mild malty aroma with a touch of roast. Smells rather like a lot of other nitro stouts.
Taste: mild and smooth roasty character with a good level of bitterness at the end. Really fits the archetype of a dry stout -- more Irish than American, I would say.
Mouthfeel: good body and quite creamy. Typically service on nitro reduces the quality of a beer's mouthfeel, in my opinion; however, in this case it doesn't seem to hurt. I like it.
Overall: a very good dry stout. I like it a lot.

Steamer Glide coasts to an easy seat in the winner's circle with its bready flavor and aroma, light creaminess, unrelenting lace, and casual drinkability. It is black as coal with tan suds and a nitro charged body providing an ideal visual display. Worthy and drinkable as a dry Irish-style stout.

This beer sat a very dark brown in the glass, with little head and poor retention. No lacing to speak of either. The smell was a tad nutty, with some chocolate and mostly coffee. It tasted pretty standard for a dry-stout and i wouldn't classify it as an american stout, becuase there wasn't any extra hoppage going on. the mouthfeel took a hit due to a lack of body and some watery characterisitics, but it remained drinkable. Not a bad beer, but there are better options.
