Stumbled upon Diamond Knot while heading to the nearby park and stopped in for lunch. Menu describes the beer as part of a single hop pale ale series.
Served in a mug. Light yellow in color with a thin white head.
Surprisingly strong aroma of sweet orange peel, grapefruit and bitter pine.
Taste follows the aroma. Clean, light citrus with background piney bitterness. ABV well-hidden. After passing beers around the table, this was the clear favorite. Tastes like Simcoe.
Lightly carbonated and highly drinkable. Lighter in mouthfeel than expected given the ABV.
Would order again (or fill a growler). Will plan to stop back at the restaurant in the future.
