Notes: Brewed with water, malted barley, Citra and Simcoe hops, and yeast.
Look: Clear golden body beneath a standard-sized head of white foam.
Smell: Citrusy with sweet malt. Notes of lemon and soft pink grapefruit. It’s not that bright but it’s certainly noticeable.
Taste: As the flavor suggests with some additional apple, hops resin, berry, tropical fruits, and a stiff bitterness. It finishes mainly dry with soft citrusy notes remaining.
Feel: Medium-light in body and gently crisp.
Overall: Quite a charming and enjoyable beer… so refreshing!

Pours a rich golden color with a medium sized white head.

Smells of a very surprising riper mango note among fresh garden herbs, hay and crackery straw.

Drinks light, smooth, with a well nuanced carbonation burst at the end.

Tastes fruitier than your typical Helles, with notes of ripe oranges cutting through bonedry, herbal hops. Establishes a wet hay and white bread dough maltiness, balancing the well pronounced hops very convincingly, while offering a glimpse of toffee as well. Finishes clean and dry, with only bitter hops and soft, sweeter wheat remain among a soft aqueos note, which gets amped up by a late effervescence.

This is outstanding! As far as its unusual fruitiness goes, this is still recognizable as a Helles, while Stauder integates a unique twist intriguingly well. Its uncompromising bitterness almost heads into Pilsener territory, if it wasn‘t for the rustic, sweeter maltiness in this, mellowing the flavors out quite effectivly.
