Privatbrauerei Jacob Stauder GmbH & Co. KG “ Stauder Jacob Jubiläums-Festbier”
,33L brown glass bottle coded “Mindestens haltbar bis: 23.01.22 0815”. Sampled on 01.10.21

Look: Clear amber beneath a standard-sized head of foam that drops to a thin but solid surface covering, yet leaves some very nice splashes and patches of lace that look like trees rising up from the surface.
Smell: Bready, doughy sweet, softly caramelish, grassy, and herbal.
Taste: Slightly toasted bread drizzled with golden caramel and a touch of honey. Slightly fruity with distant berries and citrus. Grassy and herbal. A stiff bitterness runs through it from start to finish, keeping it in check along the way, and then leading to a dry, bitter finish.
Feel: Medium leaning towards medium-light in body and crisp with a fine-bubbled, seemingly natural carbonation.
Overall: Another really charming and accessible beer from Stauder that puts a twist on things with modern hops. Really nice!

Pours a clear amber color with a bigger, eggshell colored head.
Smells of whole grain bread, earthy toffee and a grassy, herbal hop note atop.
Drinks soft from the beginning till the end, with a pleasant carbonation spark during the finish, showcasing the lighter body body of the beer in a great fashion.
Tastes of dry herbal hops from the very beginning, toned down by a bakers chocolate sweetness, coated up by a prominent bready maltiness. Turns just a tad sweeter then, with the beer‘s carbonation producing a slightly metallic note. Finishes heavily on the hops, which manage to produce a bitter aftertaste, with the beer‘s rustic malt backbone growing more profound at the same time.
This is yet another highlight from Stauder. Residing in Düsseldorf, this almost reminds me of an Alt, as far as its intense bitterness goes, while managing to establish a well working, multi layered maltiness at the same time.
