A Truly wonderful beer by Chinese standards. This beer is green, so in theory there arent any chemicals in it. Furthermore it has hops, lots of hops (again by Chinese standards).
Appearance: Ultra pale yellow with boat loads of carbonation and a thick white, bubbly head that disappears rapidly but is easily reinvigorated.
Aroma: Ill be damned if there arent Saaz, or perhaps a different noble variety of hops in here. Natty Liq has a very pleasing pilsener like aroma. Its very spicy with some fine floral character.
Taste: Hmm what would a Becks light taste like? Probably something like this, only this beer is so fresh, it doesnt seem to have any skunk to it. Very light body, spritzty carbonation, pale malt flavor followed by a mildly bitter (heavily bitter by Chinese tastes) floral/citrus finish.
Drinkability: I drank my first dozen or so bottles of Natty Liq with Kung Pao chicken, amongst other ridiculously spicy dishes at a Szechuan restaurant by the Elephant park in Guilin. It paired perfectly with the spicy food and the low ABV and lack of adjuncts allowed for some heavy sessioning. The local Guilin three-flower wine paired nicely with this brew too.
