Served in a tumbler.

Surprisingly, I hear this was Senator McCarthy's favorite Italian beer... Anyway, this stuff pours a hazy tawny-amber topped by a finger of wan foam. The nose comprises mild orange peel, light flowers, very light grass, and a touch of white bread. The taste brings in more of the same, with a slightly brighter bit of orange, an increased grass component, and a finish awash in bread. The body is a light medium, with a moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda drying-ish finish. Overall, an okay beer at best, one that lacks much character, especially in the yeast department.

Bottle I brought to share at jmgrub's birthday tasting.

Expiration date: 2/18/13.

Pours a hazy light orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, and floral aromas. Taste is much the same with a lemony flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is light and refreshing.

Orange color, quite hazy, with a lot of foam, white. The bottle was a bit explosive.
Fruity smell, peach, some hop, a bit, quite fresh.
In the smell a bit more hop, with the same note of peach and fruitiness. Full.
And a lot of yeast (maybe for the explosive bottle).
Quite full body, even too much. Malty aftertaste, with some backing hop, and some peppery hints.
Nothing to remember.
