This beer is a clear brown-amber color and it is topped by a thin wispy light brown head. Again the aroma is quite muted here. Finally though I have found a little bit of flavor in one of these beers. There are some good notes of chocolate to this porter. This beer is light on the palate, thought this is the thickest beer that I have had from this brewery. There is a soft sweetness that accompanies the dominant chocolate note. There is some soft fruitiness here as well, I get notes of currants, raisin, caramel and some toasted malt notes. There is a bit of bitterness in the finish, which seems to be a combination of hops and dark malt.

This porter is light/medium bodied and brown colored. It's not transparent, but you can certainly see more than what you would in a typical porter. It did have a nice roasty-toasty nose and flavor, but the thin body did a take a bit away from it, IMHO.
