Copenhagen 6/1 2018. 50 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh NV. Braunsteins much needed revamp of De 5 Gaarde Brand.
Pours hazy orange with medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet and quite malty. Sweet malts and lightly scorched caramel. Hints of brown sugar, toffee and nuts.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a pronounced sweetness followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet-ish with a lighter bitter undertone. Lingers for a short while.
Solid Märzen with a lot of sweet maltiness and a more modest bitterness.
