The new hottie in the class, New England IPA, is a completely amazing new IPA style, with huge amounts of hops added quite late in the boil and even more during dry hopping. The result is a relatively low bitterness (when you consider how much hops are used). A deliciously creamy beer with fantastic fruit notes! A beer that immediately takes your mind to tropical climes.

Copenhagen 28/5 2021. 44 cl case from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. East Asian Cherry tree on the can on a mud-colored background and a Dragonfly flying about.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fermented odor mingling with lighter citric notes. Caramel and fermented peach and apricot. Whiff of grapefruit and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
A fairly malty NEIPA but a decent one at that.
