Copenhagen 10/1 2020. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Gymnasievej, Køge. Chubby bottle. Black, expensive looking label with golden writing (of course).
Pours opaque dark brown with a small, light beige head. Settles athi patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet, boozy and with lighter bitter odor for balance. Sweet molasses, dark bitter chocolate, cocoa, tobacco, nuts. Light roasted odor. The booze is quite subdued. Light whisky notes.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, slightly viscous, fat, smooth, soft texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is intense, potent, sweet but with a bitter twist and a strong presence of alcohol. Aftertaste is bitter-is with a strong sweet undercurrent. Lingering for a long while. Finish has a prominent vibe of whisky without getting boozy.
Quite powerful Imperial Stout with a good balance and a gentle, friendliness.
