Copenhagen 30/1 2019. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksborgvej, Kbh NV. The revamped version from Braunstein. Dark green version of the De 5 Gaarde Brand.
Pours clear dark maroon with a red hue and medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet, lightly roasted and nutty. Sweet roasted malts, brown sugar, hazelnut, caramel.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, lightly prickly yet soft texture.
Flavor is quite sweet followed by a very light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit.
A quite sweet and lightly sugary beer which reminds me more of a a sweet brown ale than a Vienna.
