The beer's warm, golden brown color is warming in a cold time, the head is soft.... A malty Christmas beer with a taste of brown sugar and dark chocolate.

Copenhagen 19/11 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Yet another feature in Braunsteins revival of the Pokal brand. This time celebrating Christmas.
Pours medium brown with an off-white head. Settles as a very thin layer of foam.
Aroma is sweet caramel, brown sugar and Christmas Cookies. Discrete bitter edge.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is quite sweet with a sugary quality but it’s actually partly balanced by a medium strong bitterness - which ensures it does not become cloying.
Very decent Christmas seasonal being sweet without being nauseating.
