Copenhagen 20/5 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta (a part of the COOP dynasty). This seems to be an anniversary beer celebrating COOPs 150 years birthday. Kinda strange name as Pokal used to be low budget contract beers.
Pours hazy golden yellow with a white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Not muck lacing.
Aroma is sweet caramel with a little honey. Only a little sourness peeking in.
Prickly carbonation and watery palate. Lively and a bit fizzy texture.
Flavor is sweet malty caramel balanced by a crisp bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter. Fairly short.
Crisp, fresh and fairly simple. Gives the old Pokal-Brand a lift.
